MEET THE TRAINERS

Dressage lessons

Andi Solari

Andi was unable to afford lessons growing up but her love of horses kept her working for lessons whenever she could. By 21 Andi was riding and teaching professionally. Now with almost 20 years of experience she continues to train and learn every day. This is the knowledge she cannot wait to pass on to you!

Andi was a Massachusetts licensed riding instructor, teaching at barns around New England. Before leaving she was the head trainer of her own program out of a large barn in New Hampshire. After having too much of the cold, Andi moved that program south creating Ride the Sky Stables. She is currently a certified CHA Level 4 Master Instructor, a USDF and USEF insured instructor and SAFE Sport certified

Teaching is Andi's passion in life. She caters to her student's needs making each lesson unique and fun for the rider and their equine partner. She believes in working with horses in their language and helping her students learn how to speak horse. Andi focuses her training in Dressage and Natural Horsemanship but loves to learn so she has worked with many different types of horses and trainers from barrel racing to jumpers.

Andi loves working and rehabilitating rescue and problem horses. Most horses in the lesson program are rescues or came as a problem horse that she helped find a new life as a lesson horse. Her goal with any horse is to keep them happy, healthy and fun for as long as possible through correct work and finding out what the horse enjoys to do.

Laney Hardman

Hunter lessons

Laney started riding when she was 7 years old. She grew up in Cincinnati Ohio where she leased and showed off the track Thoroughbreds. (OTTB’s). She started her riding career in the hunter/jumper discipline but as she advanced started to focus more on jumpers. Through high school she showed on an Interscholastic Equestrian Association team that helped her love for the sport grow.

She went on to college where she competed with the Ohio University Equestrian team. Being a member of the school's equestrian team made it clear to her that she wanted a life long equestrian career. Laney has 6 years of teaching experience from teaching beginner lessons to advanced students. As an avid competitor, Laney competes in Eventing and Dressage events. She is currently on her way to receiving her bronze medal in dressage.

Laney loves to work and train OTTB's. Her favorite thing is starting young horses under saddles. She uses natural horsemanship techniques to help create quality horses. Laney loves to share her experiences and passion with her students to help them grow into well rounded equestrians.

Laney runs our show teams and is our IEA (Interscholastic Equestrian Association) Team coach. She keeps the show atmosphere fun while still pushing our riders to succeed and bring home those blue ribbons! She is a USDF and USEF insured instructor and SAFE Sport certified.

Naomi Kahlich

Horsemanship Lessons

Naomi always had a deep love for horses but she was unable to fully pursue her passion until she was 16 years old, due to budget constraints. During the Covid pandemic, she seized the opportunity to explore the exciting world of mustang training. This led her to adopt her very first mustang, Juno! The journey of gentling and taming Juno not only sparked her passion for horsemanship but also taught her incredible lessons about connecting with a reactive feral horse that had experienced trauma.

Naomi’s previous skills as a certified dog trainer with the Council for Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT) program allowed her to develop creative and engaging approaches to training. Teaching at Ride the Sky Stables has allowed her to use these skills to make learning incentivizing and fun for the student for our horse, dog and human students! Her favorite thing to teach are ground lessons where she loves to share her knowledge of equine anatomy, physiology and biomechanics.

Naomi is currently a student at the London College of Animal Osteopathy, and works hands on with our farrier to do barefoot trimming. She continues her riding and training education every day jumping at every opportunity for growth and knowledge.
